The 6 days safari which will start and end in Kampala or straight at the Airport depending on your schedule involves Gorilla trekking and Chimpanzee touring. It will take you to South Western Uganda
into the Impenetrable Bwindi forest. This thick Bwindi forest that spreads out to 331 sq km covers the entire steep edge of the Albertine Rift Valley. Mountain Gorilla tracking is the major activity done
in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. From there you will head for a Chimpanzee tracking in the Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi

BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
On arrival, you will be received by our representative from AA Adventures who will drive you to your hotel for a night. In case the pickup was in the morning, we could organize for you a brief city tour before you wine and dine at the hotel booked for you hence rest for the next day that lies ahead.
You will be briefed by our guide on what time the safari is to begin and the time you will be served breakfast.

Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi
Heading south west of Uganda and cross the equator will be the route you will be leading immediately after you early morning meal. You will drive past banana plantations, herds of long horned Ankole cattle, and the beautiful savanna grasslands. You will ascend into the magnificent terraced Kigezi highlands to Bwindi and finally you will get to your final destination that is the lodge you will be spending your nights depending on the budget of your choice.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking
Before 8am, you will be expected to have completed having lunch and of course ready with your packed lunch ready to go tracking. After the briefing, you will enter deep into the fresh and thick Bwindi the Mountain Gorilla sanctuary walking into the impenetrable forest in search for the endangered gorillas, commonly known as Apes.

You might also be in luck and come across some chimpanzees which are not so common, black-and-white colobus monkeys and red tail monkeys. The trek usually takes 4 – 8ours and more, so after that long trek you will head back to the lodge to relax and reminisce on the one on one you had with the Gorillas.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Today, you will embark on a journey from Bwindi you will drive to Kibale National Park with a stopover for lunch reroute on your way to the National Park. On influx you will have a nature walk through the Bigodi Swamp awesome sightseeing of the resident monkeys and birds. You will then go check in at the accommodation of your choice depending on the budget of course

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking
Subsequently you will have an early breakfast with that you will be guided to Kanyanchu head offices for a briefing about the track that you will be carrying out in a couple of hours. From there you will start the Chimpanzee tracking but that is not the only species you will be seeing today, you will be able to see 12 other different primate species like vervet monkeys, gray cheeked mangabeys and baboons.
Dine and slumber at the lodge of your budget for the evening.

Day 6: Departure to Airport
In the early morning, drive back through Kampala to Entebbe International Airport for your flight, the drive is not so long so an afternoon flight can be caught in time.
