Gorilla Tracking Trip
Day 1: Arrival plus a visit to Kigali memorial center
on arrival be received by the guide, who will take you for a Visit to the Kigali genocide Memorial center also called the general exhibition place of the Rwanda genocide which houses truths of the genocide reality that happened in 1994, there are catalogues having details about the genocide with written accounts, photographs, video as well as an array of artifacts plus personal testimonies. The Memorial Gardens have 10 graves plus a National Documentation Centre of this very Genocide and all these add to the significance of the dead. Later have dinner and slumber at Virunga lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla first trek
Following breakfast, go to the park headquarters where you will have an official briefing. You will be met by your ranger-guide for a briefing regarding the gorilla tracking within the volcanoes national park in prpartion for the grand life time encounter of the all-natural beauty. You then will begin the initial tracking phase in the tropical forest which will reward you with comfort as you enjoy the natural cool forest breeze. Following the trekking activity, head back to Virunga lodge and relax the rest of the day as you a wait dinner.
Day 3: Early morning an exclusive gorilla tracking.
Today pleasure in another day of gorilla tracking that focuses on seeing the various types of gorillas besides the one you saw the previous day. that way you will have an opportunity to track as you identify every gorilla by its name within the gorilla group such that by the end of this day you will be in position to know the differences as well as what causes such indifferences among the tracked groups. Have a a bush / forest lunch prior to returning to your Lodge for a scrumptious dinner and the night
Day 4: Visit the African hero of gorillas
Following breakfast visit Dian Fossey’s grave who was the initial white-Gorilla Hero and helped naturalists in Africa and America to learn more about this species. You will be narrated to her amazing history as well as struggles to the conserve the gorillas, and if interested you can purchase a copy of “Gorillas in the mist” her literature about the natural beauty of this African rainy forests. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to later dine and sleep at Virunga lodge.
Day 5: Drive back to Kigali to depart back home
Following a delicious breakfast, drive to Kigali Airport to catch your return flight home
