BRIEF ITINERARY

Day 1: Pick up from the Airport
Day 2: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 3: One on One with mountains gorillas
Day 4: Tree climbing lions of Ishasha
Day 5: Boat cruise along Casing Channel and Lake Edward
Day 6: Chimpanzees trekking in Kibale National Park

DETAILED ITINERARY

This seven day safari will take you to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking and Gorilla tracking. This safari is open to any one although the gorilla tracking activity is tedious since it involves trekking for long hours; you will have game drives and watch birds in Queen Elizabeth National Park using open roof cars. Inclusive is an exciting boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

Day 1 – Pick up from the Airport
On arrival you will be welcomed by one of our delegates who will drive you from Entebbe International Airport to either Holiday Express Hotel (B) BB, or Hotel Africana in Kampala.

Day 2 – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following breakfast you will set off for the National Park, this safari gives you the opportunity to visit the most important national parks in Uganda for primates viewing Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, making a stop in Mbarara for lunch. As you journey, you will view the large banana plantations, the beautiful vegetation and the long horned Ankole cattle. In the evening you will arrive in Bwindi the sanctuary for the endangered mountain gorilla species.

Day 3 – One on One with mountains gorillas
Very early in the morning, you will have breakfast and by 8:00 O’clock you ought to be at the starting point of the trek. Here you will be joined by some other trackers to make 8 of you trekking that day. You will be briefed on what you are expected to do and what you must not even do as much as think of doing.

At this point, you will not be guided by our guide/Driver form AA Adventures Ltd; you will be in the hands of a well trained Gorilla trekking guide who will take you through the experience and also into the impenetrable Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas. The mesmerizing face to face experience you will get with these gorillas is worthwhile experience and you will be able to take photographs of
them.

Day 4 – Tree climbing lions of Ishasha
Right after you have had breakfast every early in the morning, you will drive into the Ishasha region in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a game drive and if in luck, you will come across the magnificent tree climbing Lion King resting in the branches of fig trees. These beautiful and breath taking capture of the lion in the tree is amazingly only found in this area through out the whole of Uganda. You will afterwards stop for lunch en-route and of course head to the lodge where you will be spending the night and having your dinner.

Day 5 – Boat cruise along Casing Channel and Lake Edward
Today you will have an early game drive along Queens’s mile and Kasenyi tracks, just like any other National Park, you will come across a number of wildlife an experience you are and are going to have only in Uganda. There you will phenomenon at many little animals, birds, lions, Uganda kobs, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mongoose, leopard, elephants and Cape buffalos.

Later on, you will be awaited for back at the lodge to have breakfast and later unwind and dine as the day will go on. In the afternoon you will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will have a dazzling view of over 500 species of birds like the water birds and pelican’s eagles, buffalos, elephants hippos and crocodiles.
Later in the evening continue to Fort Portal were you will dine, and sleep depending on your budget.

Day 6 – Chimpanzees trekking in Kibale National Park
The 6th day will start just like all the other days, you will have breakfast and immediately you will set off for Kibale forest National Park, the park with the biggest number of chimpanzees and other species of primates. You will track down chimpanzees, have lunch in Fort Portal and later head back to Kampala where you will have your dinner and spend a night according to what you will have chosen for your budget for the safari

Day 7 – Drop off to the Airport
Today being the last day with us and in the country, we make sure that we get you at the departure point just in time for check in and ready /set to fly back home. We at this point do hope and pray that the Safari would have got to your expectation. At this point, the guide would have given you a short form which we request kind to fill with answers as far as the safari is concerned. With that, we shall just wish you a safe journey home and a wonderful and safe flight back home.
